Crashed Raids = lots of fun

So, one of the disks in my RAID0 went kapooot. 2.7TB of movies, games and tv-series lost. Guess that will teach me to forgo redundancy! =( not much else to say today, except. SHIT. /wrist

DEMO!!

Sega have just announced that Total War: Shogun 2 will be getting a demo through Steam on February 22. The demo will let players test out the campaign map and the game’s gorgeous battles. We’e played and reviewed Shogun 2, and given it a score of 92 and an Editor’s Choice award. You can read the full review in the latest issue of PC Gamer UK, which hits stores tomorrow, or in the May issue of PC Gamer US, which is out on March 29. Shogun 2 is set for release on March 15.

United Provinces

I just started a new campaign in Empire Total War as the United Provinces, today known as the Netherlands. I'm playing this campaign on Very Hard campaign difficulty and Hard Battle difficulty. As France and Spain is more or less guaranteed to declare war on me, my short term goals will be to get a naval superiority, gain as many trade routes as possible, get an alliance with Prussia and apart from France and Spain maintain the peace in Europe. My own set rules are Flanders and Rhineland are the only European Provinces I'm allowed to capture and Rhineland only if Westphalia declares war on me, which I must avoid at all costs. Instead I shall take the pirate strongholds in the Caribbean and the French and Spanish territories there as well, I shall also Gain a foothold in India, possibly by the port in Bengal, alternatively I will help the Mughals to maintain a Status Quo in India so the Marathi forces doesn't roflpwn the Mughals, a unified India is just way too powerful to compete with.

• Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 series graphics cards or equivalent DirectX 11 compatible graphics card
• Hard Drive: 20GB free hard disk space
• Screen Resolution: 1280x1024

Since the Recommended requirements states DX11 cards, I personally wouldn't run this on XP, since XP only supports up to DX9, and I think all you people that are still running XP, ITS HIGH TIME TO UPDATE YOURSELVES. seriously, it's you guys which are holding PC gaming back, forcing developers to develop games for DX9, and hardware from 2003, just look at this games minimum requirements, the computer I had back in 2003 could run that with ease. So stop being cheap/lazy/afraid of change and go out and grab yourself a copy of Win7, doesn't cost more than 50-60€, hop to it!

Garena - Dota

Playing War3 and Defence of the Ancients these days sucks, none plays it on battle.net, claiming "lag" to be the main reason, well guess what, the gaming capabilities on battle.net right now is 10x that of Garena, there's no lag to speak of, if you use special clients there's also no maphackers, there's even reconnect if you get an error and drop, but no, instead people cling to using Garena, simply because you don't need a key to play it, fucking pirates ruining my gaming experience, forcing me to play on an inferior platform just because they don't want to pay 15€ for WarCraft 3, if you still dont want to pay for war3, but want to play it, please dont use garena, use something like dotalicious http://www.dotalicious-gaming.com/ its lag free, its (probably) cheat free, every game is hosted by a hostbot so even you arabs can play with <100ms! if you play dota, do yourself and everyone a favour and try it! now im out to pwn some nabs

Shogun 2

As every gamer that matters knows, the next installment of Total War is coming soon, I'm incredibly hyped about it. Just 4 weeks left now. The game has already recieved a 92/100 score in PC gamer, and they are usually very reliable when it comes to their scores. From the videos and screenshots avaible the game looks gorgeous. As a sidenote Bulletstorm is coming in like a week, it looks like an orgy of awesome, hopefully it will last until Shogun2 comes to save me from apathy. 15th march 15th march 15th march 15th march.

Boredom!

I'm currently just biding my time, waiting for Shogun2 Release the 15th March, and I have absolutely nothing to do! I just can´t decide on what i should play! Anyone have any ideas?

Empire Total War

I just started a new Grand Campaign as the Maratha Confederacy, for you that dont know who those are, they are the hindu faction in india, they fought with the Muslim Mughals for control over india in the 18th century. The mughals had been controlling india but their power had started to decline, so the Indians saw an oportunity to free themselves from their Muslim rulers, and they took it, ofcourse this was twarted by those pesky brits coming and grabbing it all for themselves! Now Im about 10 rounds into the game and i already control most of mainland India. Right now I´m pausing my conquests to consolidate my territories, Once that is done, beware world, a new Player in the fight for control of the world will emerge.

Favorite Shooters

I was always a fan of the Call of Duty Series, mostly because you can do stuff like this

always get a fuzzy feeling inside when a poor schmuck gets his head penetrated by a large piece of metal. When they watch the killcam afterwards and concludes "obvious aimbot" I just laugh at the noobs who cant tell skill from cheats!
